GUIDE / IMPLANT INVENTORY

Dental implant inventory management: lot, expiry and stock by size

Implant drawers hold dozens of systems, diameters and lengths, and every fixture carries its own lot and expiry date. Counting boxes does not tell you which size is about to run out or which lot expires next month. Cabinet records implant stock one fixture at a time.

Receiving from a label photo

Photograph the box label. Cabinet reads the barcode (GS1 and HIBC) and the printed label text, then fills in the product, lot and expiry date for you to check. A fixture cannot be received without a lot and an expiry date, and products that have already expired are flagged before they enter stock.

Stock by brand, diameter and length

Each brand and system appears as its own cabinet layer, laid out by diameter and length. Tap a brand tag to lift that layer and read it as a table. Sizes that are below your safety level, out of stock, or holding a lot close to expiry stand out by colour, so the gaps are visible at a glance instead of after a count.

Every placement updates stock

Recording a placement removes that fixture from stock with its lot, and issues a placement certificate the patient can keep. Cabinet does not ask for patient names, dates of birth or chart numbers.
